“And That Brings Us to a Pause…”
Well, my friends, we’ve hit a bit of a snag with this project. It seems the copy of the book I was working from was not exactly complete—something I only just discovered. (Lesson learned: check your sources, folks!) That means I’ll need some time to track down the missing pieces and finish things properly.
Now, here’s the thing: as much as I’d love to focus entirely on this audiobook and my website, life has a way of pulling us in different directions. Right now, I’m juggling tent-making work (as Paul did in Acts 18:3) and some technical issues with this new website. To put it plainly, this site is still in its early days and requires more time and attention than I can give at the moment. (“Not a sprint but a marathon,” as they say—or as Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “There is a time for everything.”)
Unfortunately, this means I’ll need to take a short break from both the audiobook and this site while I focus on other projects. One of those is a “sister site” I’m building, which also needs some TLC. These platforms are hobbies for now, and while I’d love for them to become full-time endeavors one day, I trust that God’s timing will make that possible. (“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps”—Proverbs 16:9.)
But let me assure you, this isn’t the end. I’ll revisit The Destruction of Jerusalem by George Holford in the future, and when I do, I’ll make it better—clearer, more polished, and maybe even funnier (with less fumbling for missing chapters). In the meantime, I’ll add a link to the PDF of the book for those who want to read ahead, as well as another link to George Peter Holford’s The Destruction of Jerusalem, which I worked on for my other site just a couple of months ago.
So, while this chapter (pun intended) is on pause, I hope you’ll keep checking back for updates. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support as I navigate all these moving pieces.
Until we meet again, may the Lord bless and keep you. And as we approach the New Year, remember, “Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1).
God bless, and have a fantastic start to your year!
